The Hideez Desktop Client

Overview

The Hideez Desktop Client is used for secure authentication on Windows-based workstations. Once installed and the workstation is approved in the Hideez Server dashboard, a QR code will appear on the Windows lock screen. To sign in, the user simply scans the QR code with their smartphone using the Hideez Authenticator mobile app.

System Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)

  • Processor: x64-based processor

  • Memory: Minimum 2 GB RAM

  • Network: Stable connection to the Hideez Identity Cloud

    • A stable internet connection on the workstation

    • Access to the Hideez Identity Cloud over HTTPS (port 443)

Installation Instructions

  1. Download the Hideez Desktop Client installer in or format to the workstation.

  2. Run the installer to begin the installation process.

  3. When prompted, enter your tenant web address.

Next Steps After Installation

  1. Choose the preferred authentication method:
